The execution of criminals should require, but not be limited to, DNA evidence. Even with DNA evidence, the government has to take more effort to disprove innocence of suspects, but not to the extent that no one is executed. Even though there are thousands of criminals that deserve it, who are we to take away life? It's like the act of God or something. As for killing an innocent person goes, that really is inexcusable as stated above. Imagine how the person felt before dying. I'm all for punishment but, killing the person seems over the line.
