As a matter of fact, the John Birch Society was largely responsible for the ending of the FTAA (Free Trade Area of the Americas), the extension of CAFTA and NAFTA and a carbon copy of the EU. They are currently attempting to destroy the NAU (the North American Union), go to their website to learn about what this is. It is interlinked with their magazines' web page, The New American. Since JBSs' inception, their long-term goal is to end membership in the UN. As some of you may know, Ron Paul is a sponsor of such a bill. It would be no easy task to "persuade" Congress to do anything and would require great support of the people.
