CAFTA Passes House

Filed under: Trade — Danny @ 12:43 am

The House today voted to pass CAFTA, the “Central American Free Trade Agreement”.

This bill is unconstitutional and has absolutely nothing to do with “Free Trade”, in fact it is just the opposite. It is a classic example of doublespeak to call it “free trade” when it is actually hundreds of pages of trade regulations.

I’m not going to go into much more detail on this one, but I do suggest you read Ron Paul’s article on CAFTA. As always, he does a great job of describing how this bill threatens our liberty, and in this case our nation’s sovereignty.

  1. This is indeed very unfortunate. I wonder what is contained in those pages of regulations. In addition to Ron Paul, I advise going on the John Birch Societies’ web page. It is interlinked with their magazines’ web page, The New American. Since JBSs’ inception, their long-term goal is to end membership in the UN. As some of you may know, Ron Paul is a sponsor of such a bill.
It would be no easy task to “persuade” Congress to do anything and would require great support of the people.
By the way, how many bloggers are there on this website?

  2. Mitch,

Thanks for your comment and your John Birch Societies / The New American recommendation. I will be sure to check them out.

I am the only blogger on this site. Unfortunately I haven’t had time to give it the attention it deserves since starting my own business over a year ago.

I do hate to see the site sit idle like this. Do you have any interest in becoming a blogger here?

  3. I am glad to meet you, Danny. What we need now is unity of all of these various organizations, like JBS, PRS (Paul Revere Society), NRA-ILA, etc. I am very interested in becoming a blogger on this website. As a matter of fact, the John Birch Society was largely responsible for the ending of the FTAA (Free Trade Area of the Americas), the extension of CAFTA and NAFTA and a carbon copy of the EU. They are currently attempting to destroy the NAU (the North American Union), go to their website to learn about what this is. More than anything else, regular communication between all of these organizations would be extremely beneficial to freedom. I will try to make this so.

  5. i completely agree with you
CAFTA is a missrable and degrading sign of the greedy self destruction of humanity. i wolunteer for an organization called the western farm workers association and i’ve been out to farm labor camps all around my area. i’ve seen the misserable effects of NAFTA and CAFTA and i have to say that i have never been more ashamed of the demographic that i represented. the white, happy, well cloathed and easily fed american that even by being born, i took so much away from these fellows of mine.
